Denise Thomas Hair Salons in Liverpool are ‘Regional Employer of the Year’ Finalists at National Apprenticeship Awards 2016
The regional finalists for this year’s National Apprenticeship Awards have been announced – and we are thrilled to have been nominated in the ‘Regional Employer of the Year 2016’ category!
Denise Thomas hair salons in Liverpool established in 1999 providing professional hairdressing services for all age groups and genders. We’re a team of 11 inc 1 level 3 and 3 level 2 apprentices, and over the past 17 years we have supported 10 apprentices to NVQ level 3.
These talented individuals have been an integral part of our business with most staying with us long after qualifying, some reaching Senior Stylist level. One of our team is now going on to do to a VTCT level 4 salon management course. Denise reflects;
I believe investing extra time and sharing knowledge gives our students the confidence and ability to aim high in their career. I am committed to continuing our work with the apprenticeship program to ensure the continued growth and success of my salon.
Competing for this year’s coveted awards are 89 companies and 81 individuals who have beat off competition from almost 1,000 entries!
The 2016 awards, run by the National Apprenticeship Service and now in their 13th year, recognise employers and apprentices from across England that can demonstrate how apprenticeships have made a real difference to their organisation and careers, while recognising excellent businesses that grow their own talent with apprenticeships and apprentices who have made a significant contribution to their workplaces.
The very best employer category entries will also feature in the prestigious Top 100 Apprenticeship Employers List 2016. Wish us luck!
