The Awards, now in their thirteenth year, are run by the National Apprenticeship Service and recognise excellence in two areas: businesses that grow their own talent with apprentices and apprentices who have made a significant contribution to their workplaces.

On winning, Denise said;

We are thrilled to receive this award from the national apprenticeship
service in recognition of the work we do with our trainee’s. I have been a hairdresser 38 years starting as an apprentice myself, and have had my own salon 17 years opening a second salon 2 years ago.

The apprentices who have trained with us have always been key members of our salon team contributing to our growth and success. We invest a lot of time and resource ensuring our apprentices develop into talented qualified productive stylists. Some of our previous apprentices have become senior stylists, moved on to be self employed or are now taking NVQ level 4 training in salon management and becoming colour specialists.

The Apprenticeship program enables us to offer extra opportunities for
apprentices to train with us and with the continued support from the
Apprenticeship program we look forward to offering placements for new
apprentices each year.

The National Apprenticeship Awards enable exceptional apprentices and dedicated employers to receive the recognition they richly deserve.
